The FFU high-efficiency filter is a high-efficiency filter installed on the FFU fan, generally made in the form of a non partition high-efficiency filter. The filter material is made of ultra-fine glass fiber, with a filtration grade of 99.99%, mainly capturing 0.3um dust particles. FFU high-efficiency filters are widely used in manufacturers of semiconductors, electronics, flat panel displays, disk drives, optics, biotechnology, clean production lines, ultra clean workbenches, clean rooms, modular clean rooms, laminar flow hoods, and other places.

FFU High Efficiency Filter Product Introduction:

FFU is a ceiling mounted unit with an internal fan. The FFU high-efficiency filter is used in turbulent and laminar clean rooms and has the characteristics of modular connection. The average wind speed on the outlet surface reaches 0.45m/s ± 20%.

How long does it usually take to replace FFU high-efficiency filters?

Analysis of Wind Speed Issues in FFU or Laminar Flow Hood:

1. The filter detects no wind or low wind speed. After on-site testing by our personnel, it can meet the customer's required wind speed. The customer requested that the outlet wind speed of the filter be no less than 0.25m/s, but our on-site testing showed one filter with a speed greater than 0.3m/s and all other filters with a speed greater than 0.4m/s;

2. Due to the use of a blade type anemometer for testing at the customer's site, the sensitivity of this anemometer is poor. When the wind speed is below 0.8m/s, this anemometer cannot display data. Our company recommends that the customer use a hot air ball anemometer for testing;

3. Due to the fact that the primary filters on the FFU and laminar flow hood on site have not been replaced, the wind speed on site may be too low;

4. For the replacement of high-efficiency and initial efficiency FFUs or laminar flow hoods, if the phenomenon of low wind speed occurs again, it is inevitably caused by the aging and low speed of the fan. Our high-efficiency filters undergo strict testing one by one before leaving the factory to ensure the stability of their performance.

High efficiency filters belong to industrial consumables, and in order to ensure the cleanliness of the end, they generally need to be inspected and replaced every once in a while. Nowadays, most purification areas install high-efficiency filters at the ceiling air supply outlet, and the installation method and confirmation before installation completely determine whether there are any leakage points in the high-efficiency filters. Confirmation before installation provides effective objective conditions for efficient installation, so the following issues must be noted before and during installation.

What accidents should be noted before installing FFU high-efficiency filters?

1. When purchasing high-efficiency filters from manufacturers during transportation and storage, they should be placed in the direction indicated by the manufacturer's logo. During the transportation process, handle with care to prevent severe vibration and collision, in order to avoid human damage.

2. Before installing the high-efficiency filter, conduct a visual inspection of the filter itself, including checking for burrs and rust spots on the filter paper, sealant, and frame (metal frame), whether there is a product certificate, and whether the technical performance meets the design requirements

3. Before installing the high-efficiency filter, the clean room must be cleaned, wiped, and purified. If there is dust accumulation inside the air conditioning system, it should be cleaned and wiped again to meet the cleaning requirements. If high-efficiency filters are installed in the technical interlayer or ceiling, the technical interlayer or ceiling should also be thoroughly cleaned and wiped. After the cleanroom and purification air conditioning system meet the cleanliness requirements, the purification air conditioning system must be put into trial operation. After continuous operation for more than 12 hours, clean and wipe the clean room again before installing the high-efficiency filter immediately.

Attention should be paid when installing FFU high-efficiency filters:

1. During installation, reasonable adjustments should be made based on the resistance of each filter. For one-way flow, the difference between the rated resistance and average resistance of each filter on the same air outlet or supply surface should be less than 5%.

2. The frame for installing high-efficiency filters should be flat. The allowable deviation for the flatness of the installation frame of each high-efficiency filter is not more than 1mm. And it is necessary to keep the arrows on the outer frame of the filter consistent with the direction of airflow. When installed vertically, the folds of the filter paper should be perpendicular to the ground.

3. When sealing between high-efficiency filters and frames using methods such as gaskets, stickers, negative pressure seals, liquid tank seals, and double ring seals, the surface of the packing, filter frame surface, frame surface, and liquid tank must be wiped clean. The thickness of the sealing gasket should not exceed 8mm, and the compression rate should be 25%~30%. The joint form and material should meet the design requirements, and there should be no leakage at the joints of the frame. When using double ring sealing strips, do not block the holes on the ring cavity when pasting the seal; Both double ring sealing and negative pressure sealing must keep the negative pressure pipeline unobstructed.

4. At present, most filters in China are installed using the sealing gasket method because the sponge rubber plate is a closed cell type with good air tightness, so it is generally used as a sealing material. If necessary, it is best to evenly apply some glass glue on the sealing strip. When connecting the filter to the static pressure box, the surrounding forces should be evenly distributed. Wait for 24 hours until the glass glue dries before running the purification system.

The most fundamental and simple way to extend the service life of high-efficiency filters is to block dust outside the pre filter. That is to say, ensuring that the airflow in contact with the high-efficiency filter is the air filtered by the pre filter, coarse filter, and medium filter. At this point, the air should reach a standard of 99.95% with smaller dust particles and lower pollution.
